Roughly hewn, an apparent vehicle with a single figure traverses a moment of time. This painting has been going on for a long time and finally came to a conclusion recently. The chariot, carriage like foreground image was in the painting from the beginning but has since been modified and relocated, now a watery scene with a background wave, mixing the metaphors.
Throughout the process, much scraping back and changing of colors occurred making the painting rough. Doing so reinforced an intensity of instability, the unstable water, a penetrating face all in the activity of travel, emulating our transitory existence.
