Some of these paintings were made in Marfa, others made in my San Antonio studio and some of them worked on in both locations.
As observations they perceive the present as personalities, circumstances and subjects of interest.
The foam board paintings simply replace canvas as the medium of support.

I've used this image in other paintings and was curious how it might update.
Like a metaphor, the boat has always been for me emblematic of going or arriving.
