Crossing

Under a big sky, a small figure in the low foreground center has approached a patch of light just ahead of a lake with an embankment. Our view seems to be from where he may have begun, high right side with a large foreground tree on the right edge. Looking down into the painting we survey what appears to be his forthcoming journey; numerable markers, a far reaching distance and a threatening, but benevolent sky.
